## Der Fall wird größer – und der Landkreis schweigt weiter

In unserem ersten Artikel zur Sozialstiftung für Kinder und Jugendliche des Landkreises Limburg-Weilburg haben wir die zentrale Frage gestellt: **Was wusste wer – und seit wann?**

Ausgangspunkt war die Erklärung von Landrat Michael Köberle in der Kreistagssitzung vom 26. Juni 2026. Nach unseren vorliegenden Mitschriften informierte der Landrat den Kreistag darüber, dass es bei der selbständigen Stiftung Probleme bei Jahresabschlüssen und Organmeldungen gebe. Zudem soll der Stiftung bereits im Jahr 2017 rückwirkend die Gemeinnützigkeit aberkannt worden sein.

Schon das wäre ein erheblicher Vorgang. Denn die Stiftung wurde vom Kreistag auf den Weg gebracht, trägt den Landkreis im Namen, wurde öffentlich als Sozialstiftung für Kinder und Jugendliche beworben und trat über Jahre als Spendenempfängerin auf.

Nun liegt dem Fingerklopfer eine Antwort des Regierungspräsidiums Gießen vor. Und diese Antwort macht den Fall noch brisanter.
