 [## Nahverkehrsplan Limburg-Weilburg: Große Ziele, Millionenlücken – und viele Fragen vor der Abstimmung

Am Freitag soll der Kreistag Limburg-Weilburg über den neuen Nahverkehrsplan entscheiden. Rund 280 Seiten beschreiben, wie sich Busverkehr, Taktung, Barrierefreiheit und Angebotsqualität bis 2031 entwickeln sollen. Auf dem Papier geht es um deutlich mehr Mobilität: Stundentakte auf Hauptlinien, bessere Wochenendverbindungen, längere Betriebszeiten und mehr Barrierefreiheit.

Doch hinter diesen Zielen steht eine finanzielle Realität, die erheblich nüchterner aussieht. **Bis 2029 sieht der Kreishaushalt nach eigener Darstellung keinen Spielraum für die geplanten Angebotsverbesserungen vor. Gleichzeitig ist bereits die Finanzierung des heutigen Busangebots nicht vollständig gedeckt.**

Für die Kreistagsabgeordneten stellt sich deshalb am Freitag nicht nur die Frage, ob sie einen Nahverkehrsplan grundsätzlich gutheißen. Sie müssen beurteilen, **welche Verpflichtungen, Erwartungen und finanziellen Risiken mit diesem Beschluss verbunden sind – und wer später darüber entscheidet.**
