**„Wir verwalten – wir helfen nicht“ -** Es sind Zahlen, die sprachlos machen: **bis zu 100.000 Euro im Monat** für die Betreuung eines einzigen Jugendlichen. Hochgerechnet: **1,2 Millionen Euro pro Jahr**.

Und dennoch – so berichtet die Sozialarbeiterin „Caro fragt“ im Interview mit der Journalistin Jasmin Kosubek – werde in vielen Fällen kaum geholfen, sondern lediglich verwaltet.

Caro kennt das System von innen. Als Kind lebte sie selbst mehrere Jahre im Heim. Heute arbeitet sie mit sogenannten „Systems­prengern“ – Kindern, die in keiner Einrichtung dauerhaft bleiben können.

Ihr Fazit ist ernüchternd: „Es wird unglaublich viel Geld ausgegeben – aber oft passiert nichts.“
