Es gibt Sätze, die wirken übertrieben – bis man die offiziellen Statistiken danebenlegt. „Eine Industrienation kann nicht mit Wind und Sonne produzieren“, sagt die mittelständische Unternehmerin Andrea Thoma-Böck in einem ausführlichen Interview mit Apollo News. Die Deindustrialisierung sei längst im Gange, die große Welle aber noch gar nicht angekommen.

Das klingt drastisch. Doch Thoma-Böck spricht nicht als theoretische Energiepolitikerin. Sie ist seit 1996 geschäftsführende Gesellschafterin der Thoma Metallveredelung GmbH im schwäbischen Heimertingen. Das mehr als 100 Jahre alte Familienunternehmen beschäftigt rund 130 Mitarbeiter und ist als Galvanikbetrieb tief in industrielle Lieferketten eingebunden. Das Unternehmen selbst nennt unter anderem Maschinenbau, Automobilindustrie und Medizintechnik als Kundenbranchen.
